Fifty years is a milestone for an institution. Half a century of existence - not bad for a school. Few would rival this record in Gen. Santos; Notre Dame of Dadiangas University back then in 2003, and Ramon Magsaysay Memorial College again in 2008. This time it was MSU's time to shine gold.

The general atmosphere and mood was festive; particularly the Kolej Pendidikan (Education), having drawn first blood with the Miss MSU the night before.
The first day of the intramurals, opening ceremonies and formalities aside, has always been reserved for the cheerdance competition, the first real battle between the colleges in the intramurals.

While MSUans were partying, eating out, and simply making their presence felt... in KCC... the professors and higher ups had their own party in the high school department...
The MSU "Himno", now turned birthday song, is sung with great fervor
